Originating in the tropical Americas (Central, South and parts of the Carribean), these plants have been hailed by many collectors as the ultimate houseplant! They have beautiful, heart-shaped leaves with bright yellow midribs that kind of look like someone has taken a paint brush and painted yellow on all the leaves (we haven't though don't worry). They have a vining habit that, along with their stunning foliage makes them an amazing addition to any room.
According to Dr. Tom Croat (one of the worlds leading aroid botanists) these beautiful plants are actually a naturally occuring variation of Philodendron hederaceum just like Philodendron Micans. So just think of them as the load and colourful sibling.
Wait until the top 2-3cm centimetres of soil in the pot has dried out before watering heavily.
Given these beauties are variegated they require lots of bright indirect light to maintain their beautiful pattern.
Currently about 20 to 30cm tall but each trailing stem will easily get to over a metre, probably in one growing season. When they get a bit big just give them a prune and you'll end up with a much bushier plant!
Greeting your Philodendron Brasil
These plants are shipped in a 1.5L nursery pot that is wrapped in a calico bag to keep the soil in during transport. They will fit any pot from our Classic Pot Range.
