This stunning Hoya has medium sized deep-green to red leaves that are undulate with a tendency to cup. The new foliage is a deep red which turns coppery then deep-green as it matures.
These beauties are one of the easiest Hoyas to care for and if given enough light they will reward you with clusters of lightly scented flowers.
As a general rule, let the top 1-2 cm of soil in the pot dry out before watering again in the growing season (Spring and Summer). In the colder months, let them dry out much more before watering again.
Like most Hoyas they can handle shade but if you want them to flower, and you do want them to flower, they need sufficient periods of bright light (at least a few hours each day).
A naturally compact Hoya (as their latin name suggests) they are currently about 30cm long but will get to about a metre long when mature. When they get a bit more advanced you can take stem cuttings which will give you more plants as well as encouraging the original plant to branch giving it a bushier habit.
