Tree Aloe (Aloe barberae)

As they can handle full sun and even moderate shade they are perfect on almost any balcony but are equally as happy in any well drained garden bed.

In its natural habitat it will grow into a medium sized, multi branched tree, in cultivation however it can be kept at a manageable size in a pot making it an extremely appealing feature plant on any balcony. Whislt it's reasonable happy to remain a little bit pot bound it should be repotted once it has outgrown its pot. Use an open sandy media to repot.

Through the warmer months water them regularly as you would your other balcony plants, just make sure their pot can drain so they are never sitting in water or the roots will quickly rot. In winter cut back watering by a half, if growing in ground they shouldn't need to be watered at all in winter.
