A beautiful Aussie native Hoya that, like most Hoyas is hardy as hell. They have medium to large, shiny green leaves that are deep red when juvenile.
These amazing plants produce clusters of large, highly fragrant, white to pinkish, waxy flowers.
As a general rule, let the top centimetre or two of soil in the pot dry out before watering again in the growing season (Spring and Summer). In the colder months let them dry out much more before watering again.
Like most Hoyas they can handle shade and very bright light but if you want them to flower (and you do want them to flower!) they need bright light, even a North facing window is good for these guys. They are also more cold tolerant than most Hoyas.
They are currently between 30 to 50cm tall/long but will climb much higher. When they get a bit more advanced you can take stem cuttings which will give you more plants as well as encouraging the original plant to branch giving it a bushier habit.
Greeting your Hoya Australis
These plants are shipped in a 1.5L nursery pot that is wrapped in a calico bag to keep the soil in during transport. They will fit any pot from our Classic Pot Range.
