A beautiful Monstera from Ecuador with deep green leaves covered in silver markings that fade as the plant grows.
As the plant matures the leaves develop fenestrations or holes similar to (but less pronounced) that in the leaves of Monstera adensonii and come with with a silvery-blue patina.
Wait until the top 2-3cm centimetres of soil in the pot has dried out before watering heavily. Water less in in the cooler month to replicate the tropical dry season. These guys are pretty tolerant if you miss a watering or two but you will see noticeable increases in growth during the summer months if you remember to water regularly.
Bright indirect light and a humid position is what these guys love. They are pretty tolerant of cooler temperatures but if you get frosts in your area make sure they stay inside over winter.
The stems are about 30cm long when you receive them but this is a fast growing plant. It will continue to produce larger leaves as they mature, especially if provided a stake or totem to climb.
Greeting your Monstera Siltepecana
