Monstera adensonii
A beautiful South American native that produces leaves with pronounced fenestrations. This Monstera has a more delicate, trailing habit than it's cousin Monstera deliciosa. Like it's cousin it produces new leaves that are lime green but unlike the glossy green leaves of M. deliciosa these guys produce matte green leaves which, in the right light appear slightly velvety. A truly spectacular and easy plant!
Watering
Wait until the top 2-3cm centimetres of soil in the pot has dried out before watering heavily. Water less in in the cooler month to replicate the tropical dry season. They're pretty tolerant of under watering but you will see noticeable increases in growth during the summer months if you remember to water regularly.
Position
Bright indirect light and a humid position is what these guys love. In cooler climates their leaves may turn yellow and fall off over winter, especially if they are kept outside however they will produce new leaves as they weather warms. If they do shed their leaves just reduce their water a bit.
Managing growth
The stems are about 30cm long when you receive them but this is a fast growing plant. It will continue to produce larger leaves as they mature, especially if provided a stake or totem to climb.

The plastic pot will be wrapped in a calico bag to keep the soil in place, it will then be tied into a specially designed cardboard insert which will keep it stable and upright throughout its journey. The insert will be glued in place on top of your cardboard wrapped ceramic pot to hold it down and your plant up!
No Re-Potting
Your plant will come in its plastic pot which we make sure fits perfectly in whichever ceramic pot you choose. Our packaging has been designed to allow us to send your beautiful ceramic pot along with your plant, fully potted, yep in soil, together in the same box.
Fully Recyclable
The thing that we’re most proud of is that our packaging is fully recyclable and re-useable so you don’t have to feel bad about generating more packaging waste. In fact you should feel awesome because ordering from us, online, will generate way less emissions than if you were to drive to the nursery to buy a plant. The only plastic you get will be the plastic pot that your plant comes in and these can be re-used or recycled.
